Humminbird 570 DI Fishfinder

The Humminbird 570 DI model is a scaled down model for users who aren't in need of all of the bells and whistles offered on some of the manufacturer's higher end units. It does share many of the same basic features such as the patented dis-mountable monitor, down imaging, and Fish ID. The 570 DI even utilizes Humminbird's very own Dual Beam Plus sonar functionality which actually emits two separate beams from its transducer which allows for greater detail over an extremely wide area. This model also employs Humminbird's very own Switchfire technology. This feature essentially allows the user to determine what level of detail is needed for any given situation. Two modes are offered and can easily be switched back and forth. The first mode, max mode, allows for the greatest amount of detailed imagery. The images produced in this mode are detailed enough to allow one to accurately identify thermoclines and water currents. Clear mode is offered for anglers that do not desire this level of detail or that may find it distracting. Built in software sifts through the sonar signals and displays what most anglers are most interested in - fish. The 570 DI makes a few sacrifices to allow for an incredibly affordable price point. The 570 is outfitted with a 5” 12 level gray-scale display rather than full color. Also, unlike many other models offered by Hummingbird, the 570 DI is a sonar only model which means that it does not have a built in GPS. Anglers who only are concerned with capturing the visuals of the underwater terrain and fish activity without the need for navigational functionality will appreciate the simplicity and straight forward approach that this model offers.
