Raymarine’s new 37cm (14in) antenna makes satellite TV a reality for smaller vessels between 25 and 40ft in length. The system offers multi-satellite support for all key service providers (Astra, Hotbird, Thor, Sirius, and Hispasat).
The small antenna footprint makes it possible to fit on vessels where space is limited, and fewer cables plus a standard control unit make installation quick and easy.
Key Features
• Dual LNB (multiple receiver) support
• New dedicated control unit with LCD display
• Control unit displays antenna status, diagnostic indicators and allows manual selection and
programming of satellites
• Connect to PC for easy upgrades
• 10.8 – 15.6V
• Quickly acquires signals from all DVBcompatible (Digital Video Broadcast) service providers
• Proprietary Wide Range Search (WRS) algorithm for the fastest identification and acquisition of satellites
• Integrated DVB technology uses the satellite’s ID to improve acquisition speed. Once a known satellite is identified, the antenna quickly jumps to the correct satellite minimising search time
• Can incorporate data from an external GPS, which further reduces acquisition time
• Unmatched Dynamic Tracking
• Uses Dynamic Beam Tilting (DBT) to track signals in the most extreme weather
• DBT continuously measures the vessel’s heading, pitch, and roll. Commands are sent to drive the motors to keep the antenna locked on
• Stabilisation is enhanced by conical scanning, which detects and maintains the strongest signal
• A unique, rotating sub-reflector redirects the signal and minimises the need for constant dish movement, which leads to quieter operation
• EN60945 Compliant
• Backed by Raymarine’s worldwide service & support network
• Two year warranty on parts and labour
Note that a satellite receiver box (eg Skybox) is required to view channels.
