Avtex W165DRS is a 12v/24v and mains TV/DVD combination with a HD Ready 16" LCD screen and integrated high definition (HD) satellite decoder to enable the direct connection of a satellite dish to the TV, without needing a set top box between the two. In addition to this, Avtex W165DRS comes complete with a broad selection of features, often unique to the Avtex brand, such as Avtex Quick-Tune (AQT), a one button tuning system that will retune your TV freeview channels at the push of a button, finding and numbering them in the correct order.

Avtex W165DRS features include built in HD Freeview, HD satellite decoder and DVD player, wide viewing angles, timer record from the on-screen programme guide to a USB stick or external USB hard drive, Pause & playback live TV, staggeringly low power consumption, an attractive glass-fronted design and most importantly: an astounding picture.

Unique to the DRS range, the Avtex W165DRS has an integrated HD DVB-S2 satellite decoder, allowing you to connect your television directly to a satellite dish such as the SNIPE automatic satellite antenna and presto, free-to-air satellite TV. You can also record live HD satellite TV to a USB stick using the PVR function.

Power consumption is always a concern when you're running electronics from your leisure battery, fortunately Avtex are well aware of this and the W165DRS consumes so little that it's hard to believe. Avtex W165DRS can be used on 12v, 24v and 240v mains power and has been built to withstand the fluctuations of DC power, ensuring you're buying a TV that'll last for years to come. It can even warn you if your battery is getting low!

The Avtex W165DRS LCD screen is HD Ready and the TV comes with an integrated HD satellite decoder. Just add a satellite dish & you'll be enjoying HD 720p UK free-to-air satellite TV from as far away as Barcelona in bright and beautiful high definition.

You don't need a satellite dish to use the Avtex W165DRS, just attach an aerial (for example the Avtex STH1000, which we think is pretty brilliant) and you're good to go. You'll be able to pick up HD Freeview channels such as BBC HD in the UK, and local TV in most of Europe thanks to the tuner being multi-standard.

Avtex Quick Tune (AQT) is a one button tuning system that'll allow you to find, order and number all of the available Freeview or Analogue channels at the push of a button. Just press the AQT button on your Avtex remote control and leave it to it, after a couple of minutes it'll be done and you'll be watching TV!

In addition to all of the above, Avtex W165DRS has a built in DVD player so whether you grab a few of your favourites off the shelf before you leave or buy a couple of new ones for the trip you'll always have something good to watch when the weather disagrees with your plans!

With Avtex W165DRS you can set a timer record from your programme guide and have your favourite Freeview or satellite shows ready for you when you get back! You can also pause and playback live TV to make sure you don't miss a thing.
